Welcome to Destination Walkies. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our group dog walking and private field services. By booking with us, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. Memberships

Our membership model is designed to provide stability for your dog's social groups. Membership fees are billed monthly in advance, and are based on a consistent weekly schedule, the number of adventures per calendar month may vary. Membership ensures a guaranteed slot in our walking schedule and priority access to our private fields. We require a minimum commitment period of one month for all memberships.

Memberships operate Monday to Friday only and do not include weekends or UK bank holidays.

Destination Walkies may also have planned closure periods, including over Christmas and other holidays. Reasonable notice will always be provided in advance of any such dates.

2. Bookings and Cancellations

All memberships are booked online, allowing you to select the most suitable option for you and your dog.

During the booking process, you will choose your dog’s regular adventure days. These remain consistent each week to ensure stable groups and maintain a safe, structured environment.

As spaces are reserved in advance, all bookings are non-refundable. This allows us to carefully manage group sizes and provide the best possible experience for every dog. We only pause memberships for holidays of 5 days or longer, with 2 weeks' notice.

3. Payments and Pricing

Payments are processed securely through our website. We reserve the right to review our pricing annually; members will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price adjustments. Late payments may result in the suspension of walking services.

4. Dog Health Requirements

To ensure your dog remains safe and well under our care we ask that all owners ensure the following dog health requirements:

Dogs must be microchipped and the database details must be up to date (a legal requirement in the UK).
Collar & ID Tags: by law (Control of Dogs Order 1992), dogs in public must wear a collar with the owner's name and address (including postcode) engraved on a tag.
Proof of Vaccination: A valid vaccination card or Titre test certificate must be provided before or on the trial session.
Kennel Cough: This is not included in the standard annual booster. Although we do not require dogs to be vaccinated against Bordetella (Kennel Cough) we do ask that any dogs showing symptoms are not to attend their adventures due to the nature of the disease spreading in group settings. We can not take dogs on adventures when showing signs of any contagious illness.
Emergency Vet Consent: In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact the owner immediately using the details provided. If the owner is unreachable, Destination Walkies reserves the right to seek urgent care. We have established relationships with local veterinary practices in our area who are aware of our services and prepared to provide emergency treatment. By agreeing to these terms, the owner gives full consent for such treatment and assumes all responsibility for any veterinary costs incurred.
Pre-existing Conditions: We require owners to disclose any pre-existing medical condition such as heart conditions, epilepsy, or joint issues that might affect the dog's ability to exercise safely. We cannot accept dogs currently in season.
Trial Periods: All new dogs must partake in a trial session before their membership is confirmed. This is to assess the dogs suitability for group walks and to maintain the safety of all dogs. . Dogs must be social and show no history of aggression. We do not accept any breeds banned under UK legislation.
Injury & Insurance: Whilst we are insured, and take every measure to minimise and prevent any incidents, the owner is responsible for any damage or injury their dog causes to third parties or other dogs.
Membership is subject to a successful trial session. We reserve the right to terminate membership immediately if a dog displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour toward humans or other animals.
Transport: Dogs are transported for their adventures in our custom built van, each crate offering a safe, secure, independent space for your dog, dogs are transported in crates separately unless the dogs are from the same household and it has already been agreed they can travel together. Dogs should be relatively comfortable with travelling and being inside a crate to ensure their welfare and health is maintained throughout their time in the vehicle.

5. Safety and Liability

At Destination Walkies, the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care is our highest priority. We take every reasonable precaution to provide a secure, controlled, and positive environment for each adventure.

All dogs are exercised within a private, secure field, allowing for safe off-lead activity. Dogs are carefully assessed and introduced to ensure they are suitable for group environments and compatible with other dogs.

While every effort is made to minimise risk, dog walking and group exercise environments carry inherent and unavoidable risks. By enrolling with Destination Walkies, owners acknowledge and accept that:

Dogs may engage in normal play behaviours, which can occasionally result in minor injuries such as scratches, cuts, or strains
There is always a small risk of illness, injury, or unforeseen incidents when dogs interact in a group setting
Destination Walkies cannot be held liable for injury, illness, loss, or damage sustained during transport or whilst under our care, except in cases of proven negligence

6. Keys and Property Access

Where access to a property is required, owners may provide Destination Walkies with a key, key code, or other agreed method of entry.

All keys and access details are handled with the utmost care and stored securely. Keys are not labelled with identifiable personal information or addresses.
Destination Walkies will only access the property for the purpose of collecting and returning dogs in line with agreed arrangements.
While every precaution is taken, Destination Walkies cannot be held liable for loss or damage to property unless proven to be caused by negligence.
Owners are responsible for ensuring that access arrangements are accurate and that the property is secure upon departure.

7. Data and Privacy

We comply with UK GDPR regulations. Personal data is used solely for service delivery and emergencies.

Destination Walkies is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.

We collect and store only the information necessary to provide our services effectively and safely. This may include:

Owner contact details (name, address, phone number, email)
Dog information (name, age, medical history, behavioural notes)
Veterinary contact details
Access details (e.g. key information or entry instructions where required)

This information is used solely for:

Providing dog walking services
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of your dog
Communication regarding bookings and services

All personal data is stored securely and is only accessible to Destination Walkies. We do not sell, share, or distribute your information to third parties, except where required for the provision of services (for example, sharing relevant details with a veterinarian in an emergency).

We take reasonable steps to protect your data from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access.

Clients have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time.

By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined above.

From time to time, photos or videos of dogs may be taken during adventures for use on our website or social media. No personal owner information will ever be shared. Owners can opt out of this at any time.

8. Weather Conditions

The safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care is always our priority. While adventures take place in most weather conditions, there may be occasions where extreme weather requires adjustments to our usual service.

In cases of severe weather, including but not limited to heavy snow, ice, storms, or extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), Destination Walkies reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel scheduled adventures where conditions are considered unsafe.

During periods of extreme heat, additional precautions are taken to protect dogs from overheating. This may include shorter sessions, adjusted timings, or alternative services.
Where appropriate, adventures may be replaced with a welfare visit or drop-in service, ensuring dogs are checked, cared for, and given appropriate comfort and attention in place of a full adventure.
Any decisions made regarding weather-related changes are done in the best interests of the dogs and with safety as the primary consideration.

As with all membership-based services, spaces remain reserved, and weather-related changes do not affect membership fees.
